Welcome to Explore Orthodontics!
At Explore Orthodontics, our goal is to help you achieve the smile you deserve – a natural, healthy and beautiful one! Dr. Kay D. Daniel and her experienced team will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan that is best suited for your orthodontic needs.
With three convenient office locations in Slidell, Mandeville and New Orleans, Louisiana, you have the flexibility to be seen at any or all, whichever is best for your busy schedule. Dr. Kay strives to make orthodontics fun and enjoyable for both her adult and younger patients. She surrounds herself with a caring staff that is eager to make your experience pleasurable. We know your time is valuable. Therefore we have tailored our schedule to accommodate our patients and keep wait times to a minimum.
Dr. Kay recognizes that the needs of our patients are ever-changing. We offer a wide range of treatment options, including clear ceramic braces, Invisalign® clear aligners and the Damon® System. Dr. Kay is one of only a few orthodontists to utilize the Damon bracket system of braces in our area. These brackets take advantage of the highest technology available.

Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Kay not only has a passion for her chosen field, it's in her blood! She is the daughter of pediatric dentist, Dr. Edward Donaldson, and her sister, Dr. Jill Donaldson, is also a pediatric dentist. Dr. Daniel has been in practice since 1998 and has orthodontic experience with hundreds (if not thousands!) of beautiful results.
She grew up in St. Tammany Parish where she has settled with her husband, Chuck, and two children, Nick and Abbey. Her education has included undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University and continuing her education at LSU Dental School, graduating second in her class. She completed her specialized training at the LSU Orthodontic Department in New Orleans, finishing with a 4.0 GPA.
While Dr. Kay's number one hobby is teeth, when she is not in the office, she is probably on the golf course. She was member of the Mississippi State Women's Golf Team from 1989-1992 and is a current member of the Louisiana Women's Amateur Golf Association. She won the Louisiana Women's State Amateur in 2005 and the Louisiana Women's State Mid-Amateur in 2006 and 2007. Keep an eye on the sports page for her latest amateur achievements.
